According to an order, all wedding venues, lawns and other ceremony rooms will be closed from April 15th.

Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, the administration in the Palghar district of Maharashtra ordered the closure of wedding venues, lawns and ceremony rooms from April 15 on Friday. The district’s disaster control cell met during the day and decided to take some tough measures at the top of infection.
According to the order, all wedding venues, lawns and other ceremony rooms will remain closed from April 15th, the order states. For weddings occurring before April 15, organizers and management should adhere to COVID-19 standards.
The ordinance also regulated the hours of shops, markets, theaters, shopping malls, places of worship and educational institutions in the district. The COVID-19 case number has risen to 48,292 in Palghar district, while the toll is 1,215.
