Finding the perfect Roka outfit can be quite confusing and challenging. You don’t want to wear a heavy suit, but at the same time you don’t want to be satisfied with flimsy coordinates. Well, this is where a kaftan suit set comes in! Kaftan suit sets are perfect for daytime events as they are slightly airy and look oh so chic. “Opt for expressive kaftans with floral prints, blush tones and elaborate work for your special day,” advises Palak Jindal, co-founder and creative head of Palak and Mehak.
Dinner before the wedding
The pandemic has changed a lot and the dress code for the bride is just one of the few things. Nowadays, more and more brides are opting for relaxed clothes. And if you are looking for a fun and unconventional outfit for the first event of your wedding, then opt for a fun and relaxed overlap caftan with chic pants for an elegant and contemporary look. “First dinner is always casual and so much more fun than other wedding parties, so caftans are perfect for that special occasion. And if you think a kaftan is difficult to style, think again. Caftans not only look effortlessly chic, they are also super easy to play around with. Depending on the look, complement your outfit with eye-catching statement jewelry or delicate pieces and you can organize your first event, ”advises Jindal.
Do you know what a great outfit would make for an intimate mehendi soiree? A short and fun pastel kaftan number! Yes, short caftans are definitely in fashion this year and rightly so. “Because of their comfort factor, short caftans are a wonderful choice for sitting for hours while your mehendi is being applied,” explains Keerthi Kadire, Creative Director of Keerthi Kadire. What a win-win situation!
We all know how messy Haldi features can really get, which is why it makes perfect sense to ditch those heavy sequined suit sets and walk straightforward! “With a Haldi function, you can experiment and opt for a fresh look, as the entire event should be fun,” recalls Kadire. If you’re hosting a nice, close-knit event indoors, your best bet is to go for a ruched-waist kaftan in a juicy shade of yellow with a few details. Finish off with contrasting, dainty jewelry and fresh flowers in your hair and you’re ready for your big day!
