British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancée Carrie Symonds got married in a private, intimate ceremony on Saturday (May 29) in London. This has been confirmed by his Downing Street office and pictures from the event have now been shared. In it you can see Carrie Symonds looking pretty in a white dress with lace details.
Although there was no veil, she completed the look with flowers that adorned her hair. The Prime Minister, on the other hand, was seen in a black suit with a flower on his lapel. According to the Evening Standard, the couple exchanged vows at Westminster Cathedral. A small group of family and friends were present.
“The Prime Minister and Mrs. Symonds were married in a small ceremony at Westminster Cathedral yesterday afternoon. The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer, ”a Downing Street spokesman was quoted as saying in the report.
Celebrations for family and friends are planned for July 30, 2022, reports ES. Symonds, 33, is an environmental attorney. In February they both announced their engagement.
This is Johnson’s third wedding. He was married to Allegra Mostyn-Owen (from 1987 to 1993) and then to Marina Wheeler. Although their divorce was finalized in May 2020, they had announced their separation in 2018. UK-based author Marina Wheeler is of Indian descent and her last book was published in 1947 against the backdrop of the partition.
