Love her or hate her, the smallest thing a celebrity does is likely to generate tons of newsworthy events. This includes the day they tie the knot with loved ones. Many celebrities choose to grow up when it comes to weddings, throwing a big party, and even inviting their celebrity friends over.
There are a few exceptions, however. Some celebrities tend to keep their holy day private without paparazzi cameras following them everywhere. From Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s wedding in 2008 to Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego in 2013, here are ten celebrity couples who got married privately.
10 Jay-Z & Beyoncé
While Beyoncé and Jay-ZThe relationship was no secret in the early 2000s, the two perfectly hid their engagement treasure from fans. In 2008 it was announced that the two had tied the knot privately on April 4, 2008.

In 2012, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds took the Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina as their marriage place. However, when the news broke, their marriage became a controversy as the place was built on slavery. Several people called out the Deadpool actor in 2018 after supporting the Black Panther film, which was viewed by many as hypocrisy.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are another celebrity power couple who went for secrecy on their big day. The two tied the knot at their Chateau Miraval in France. Of course, this was all before the two found themselves in a dire legal battle over custody.

5 Leighton Meester & Adam Brody
Once upon a time there was a relationship between Leighton Meester and Adam Brody. The couple’s relationship went public in 2013, and they tied the knot “a few weeks” prior to February 2014 when multiple sources confirmed their wedding to Us Weekly.
“It was a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends. It was beautiful,” the source said.

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden held a secret wedding in front of 100 guests from their friends and families at their Beverly Hills mansion in 2015. Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Nicole Richie and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the famous faces attending the ceremony. They even recruited additional security guards to line the streets of sniffing paparazzi.

After a three-year relationship, Allison Williams married Facebook executive Ricky van Veen in a three-day celebration at the Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming. Several A-list stars, including Katy Perry, Lena Dunham and John Mayer, were reportedly on the exclusive guest list. Unfortunately, the two separated in 2019 after four years of marriage.

Despite her celebrity status, Margot Robbie decided to marry long-time friend and filmmaker colleague Tom Ackerley in a top-secret ceremony in her native Australia in 2016. Only 50 guests were in attendance with no telephones or recording devices allowed during the ceremony. Their wedding took place in Coorabell, Byron Bay, New South Wales.

Finally, there is Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego, who got married in a secret ceremony in London in 2013. In fact, the two were powerful parents of their four children and raise them in a gender-neutral environment.
