Andy Murray's £ 1.8 million wedding purchase is going to blow your mind

There’s no doubt that weddings can be an expensive business, and the venue usually takes up a large chunk of the budget – but it does Andy Murray went one step further than He bought his entire wedding venue for £ 1.8 million!

Cromlix House was the lovely setting where Andy and Kim Sears In 2015, Andy’s brother Jamie took place at the hotel. Perhaps the tennis star fell in love with the venue.

The venue was bought by Andy ahead of his own wedding with the intention that he would play a major role that day. Unfortunately, the on-site chapel only seats 28, which wasn’t enough to accommodate all of Andy and Kim’s friends and family, but the rest of the incredible space was used for their party.

Instead, The couple said “I’ll do” in Dunblane Cathedralbefore heading to their own hotel, Cromlix House.

As Andy is a popular Scot, the wedding caused quite a stir in the area, and the local pub even brewed a special beer called TogetherNess to share the love!

The couple got married in Scotland

The Wimbledon champion had stayed true to his roots and chose to wear a kilt on his wedding day. He combined his dark blue, green and gold number with a black vest and jacket.

Despite Andy’s eye-catching ensemble, the bride stole the show when she stepped off in a bespoke, Swarovski-crystal-studded gown by Jenny Packham. Kim paired her dress with glittering Jimmy Choo strappy heels and a three meter long, bespoke silk tulle veil.

It says: “After an extensive renovation, the US Open, Olympic and Wimbledon Champion has transformed the elegant Victorian mansion in Perthshire into a luxurious five-star destination with 15 bedrooms and a gate lodge.”
