And they lived happily ever after!

Teen Beach movie star Garrett Clayton married screenwriter Blake Knight in a garden party affair on Saturday.

“We tried to get married for a long time,” says Clayton, 30, PEOPLE. “So we’re just excited.”

The newlyweds – who got engaged in Iceland in January 2018 after dating since 2011 – rescheduled their wedding twice because of the COVID-19 pandemic before finally tying the knot on Labor Day weekend at a private Los Angeles home could close. The property is part of the Walt Disney Estate and features a working replica of Snow White’s wishing well that Clayton and Knight dressed up in flowers from Commerce Flowers for a special photo opportunity.

“We’re big Disney nerds!” Ritter, 30, says.

The couple said “I do” in bespoke Zegna suits during an outdoor ceremony attended by 160 friends and family. Clayton and Knight decided against having a wedding party because “we just wanted to make it as easy as possible,” explains Knight. But they were led in by their mothers from opposite sides of the archway, where the grooms met to exchange the vows they had both written. Actress Alicia Silverstone led the ceremony (“She took it seriously,” says Knight of the performance) and a string quartet provided the music.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued on a spacious lawn, where the guests played games such as boccia, croquet, oversized Connect 4 and giant jenga. The participants drank three signature cocktails: a Mint Julep, an Aperol Spritz (Ritter’s favorite) and an Aviation (Claytons Pick). The cocktails provided color inspiration for the garden party planned by Jason Mitchell Kahn.

Knight says they wanted to make everything about the wedding “really bright and colorful and happy”.

The story goes on

“We really wanted the wedding to be fun,” adds Clayton. “Not just fun for us, but fun for everyone.”

Guests who were given face masks with their place cards enjoyed a picnic-style meal to avoid cross-contamination with food service providers. The Fosters

The vet says he and Knight wanted participants to “feel safe and have fun and not worry”.

They also served a traditional wedding cake and had a Coolhaus ice cream truck as a refreshing treat. A painter created a piece of art that captured the wedding, and Kelly Balch Photo photographed the magical day.

Clayton and Knight have postponed their planned wedding after party at Tramp Stamp Granny’s in Hollywood and will wait six months before embarking on their honeymoon in the Maldives and Japan. But they can’t wait to enjoy married life together after more than a decade, especially since Clayton was advised early on in his career not to come out as gay and make his relationship with Knight public.

“When we first made our relationship official, I was told to stay in the closet for work and nobody knew we were still together,” reveals Clayton. “I’ve been told often enough, ‘When you get out, you can’t audition for 80 percent of the roles you’d be seen for if you just stayed in the closet.’ It was definitely a trip. “

A trip that they were finally able to celebrate with their loved ones on what Clayton calls a “fairytale” day. “We are lucky that we are now in a place where we can actually share our lives with one another,” adds Knight, “both privately and publicly.”

For many brides, the hairstyle is just as important as the wedding dress. In Nigeria, many brides tend to either rock their long natural hair or wear wigs that can be styled to their liking.

Well, Daisy – a Tanzanian beauty – made a gorgeous bride on her wedding day when she showed up with her natural hair in a low cut.

She didn’t just leave it at that though, she added a bit of color to her short locks to match her wedding look.

It’s one thing to follow trends and create stylish looks. However, it takes a lot of confidence, confidence, and courage to go for the unconventional, especially on a big day like your wedding.

Almost Famous Podcast,” Bachelor Nation’s Jesse Palmer — who headlined the fifth season of “The Bachelor” back in 2004 — revealed that he quietly married his love of five years, model Emely Fardo, over the summer. The pair originally intended to tie the knot in France in the summer of 2020 but canceled their wedding plans amid the coronavirus pandemic. They then made plans to exchange vows in France in July 2021 … and again the pandemic thwarted their plans. Ultimately, they decided to have “a very small, intimate wedding” near their home on the East Coast. “[We wanted] to have that moment [and] have our day because we’d been looking so forward to it for a very, very long time and were anxious to kind of take the next step,” the sports commentator and former NFL quarterback — who popped the question in the summer of 2019 — explained on the podcast after co-host Ashley Iaconetti noticed his wedding band. Jesse added that he and his new missus hope to celebrate their marriage with their parents — who weren’t able to attend the wedding due to travel restrictions — in the summer of 2022.

  • The Queen was reportedly forced to retake her honeymoon wedding photos of her and Prince Philip after a rather unusual mishap.

The Queen is said to have retaken wedding photos during her honeymoon in 1947 after a surprise mishap on the wedding day left her without her bouquet in the pictures. The Queen and Prince Philip were married for 73 years before he sadly passed away in April, leaving the monarch without her “strength and whereabouts”. The monarch, who is currently at Balmoral, is taking her first summer break since his death and has invited several of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to visit her.

Having recently visited the special place of her and Prince Philip, the Queen will no doubt reflect on their many happy years together.

However, it appears that their November 20th wedding day had a bit of an issue – and that meant the couple had to rerun official snapshots.

Like hello! Magazine had to retake the Queen’s wedding photos a few days later as she and Prince Philip were enjoying their honeymoon. This was reportedly due to their wedding flowers being misplaced on their big day, meaning the original photos didn’t include these stunning blooms.

According to the publication, royal wedding florist David Longman revealed the story behind this surprising turn of events when he opened the ITV documentary Invitation to Royal Wedding.

He claimed, “During their honeymoon, they had to dress in their wedding gowns again, and my father had to provide another bouquet for these photos.”

It was photographer Sterling Henry Nahum who captured the unforgettable shots of the Queen and Prince Philip’s wedding anniversary. He reportedly had to return to the Buckingham Palace throne room again to make sure they got the perfect picture.

While it is said that the Monarch and Duke’s honeymoon was suspended to allow them to pose for the second set of snapshots as well as at some point during their private trips to Broadlands and Birkhall.

And it seems that the surprising mishap is unlikely to repeat itself all those years ago, as royal brides now have two bouquets just in case.

This November would have marked the significant 74th wedding anniversary of the Queen and Prince Philip. Their wedding took place at Westminster Abbey, the same place where their grandson Prince William and Kate Middleton married in 2011.

As they attended the Cambridge Wedding, both the Queen and Prince Philip may have briefly pondered their own wonderful day all those years ago.

Wedding ceremony Visitor Make-up: A Professional’s Information to Getting It Proper

    0

You answered. You bought a present. You have chosen your outfit. Now is the time to start thinking about your wedding guest makeup strategy. Of course, finding the right balance between a fresh yet upscale look that lasts throughout the ceremony and reception is a delicate art.

“The ideal is luminous, illuminated by the skin, gently accentuated facial features and colors that work together harmoniously,” says make-up artist Carolina Dalí about her strategy. “Let the chunky glitter and blue lipstick sit out here. Photos are taken that will be shared for generations to come. You don’t want your makeup to look dated, so keep it as harmonious and fresh as possible. “

Another rule of thumb? “I always think that the guests should look fresh and beautiful, but remember not to overshadow the bride,” says make-up artist Jenna Kristina, who works with actors Zoey Deutch and Christian Serratos. Another winning starting point is the general mood of the wedding. “The makeup of the wedding guests should help improve the ambience of the wedding aesthetic,” says Jessica Smalls, who for example encourages leaning into warm sunset tones at an outdoor summer ceremony. From achieving a beautiful shine to protecting your eye make-up from melting, the professionals here give you their top tips and tricks for wedding guests.

    Will glow

A natural shine starts with the right moisturizer. While Dalí was on Dr. Barbara Sturm, who “soothes the skin and wears it nicely under makeup,” relies on Bobbi Brown’s two-in-one primer moisturizer Face Base to moisturize the skin while increasing durability ensure follows. In terms of coverage, Dalí recommends using two different types of foundation so that you only shine in the right places. “Use [mattifying] velvet matte primer down the center of your face, around the folds of your mouth where your nose meets your cheeks, and a touch down the center of your forehead, ”she says. “Then use a separate tool to apply a glowing foundation such as the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to the rest of the face and neck where it is needed and blend it well.” Keeping shine in check. After applying your foundation, Smalls recommends dusting your T-Zone – and all other areas prone to shine – with a setting powder, such as the Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder from ONE / SIZE, which offers a soft focus effect for a soft finish with a soft, fluffy finish Brush.

    Gently shape and highlight

When it comes to contouring, less is always more – especially at a wedding. “I’ve never been a fan of super contoured faces,” says Dalí. “The aim is to gently define the features, not to mask them or to change them completely.” In this sense, all three professionals have a preference for a cream-colored contour pencil such as make-up from Marios Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick, which thanks to its light, mixable Texture and the choice of flattering shades and undertones is a top favorite when it comes to modeling. “I like to apply it under my cheekbones and along my jaw, and then buff it out with a stiff brush,” says Smalls. “It instantly pops your cheekbones and slims your jaw.” Once you’ve sculpted your complexion, add a healthy flush. Not just on the cheeks, but everywhere. “Apply a light blush to the cheeks and all places where you would naturally turn pink if you were in the sun for too long,” instructs Kristina and suggests the temples, the tip of the nose and the bridge of the nose as well as the contours in front of the Eyes to “breathe life into the skin”.

    Prime and define the eyes

In order to create the stage for eye make-up that doesn’t move, a primer “changes the game”, emphasizes Kristina, who is one of the first to drink Urban Decay’s cult favorite eyeshadow primer. “It’s clear so it won’t change the color of your shadows, and it’s great to apply too to prevent eyeliner from carrying over.” When designing your eye look, Kristina believes that a simple and clean look, like a soft smoky eye or classic cat’s eye, both aesthetic and easy to care for, is the way to go. Dalí emphasizes that it is important to also think about how your chosen look will photograph. “I like to stick with bronze, peach, earthy and pastel colors and stay away from overly loud eyeshadows that can look old-fashioned or dark as they tend to photograph even darker than you see them in person and your eyes see in pictures smaller. ”

Another thing to keep in mind is the texture. While creamy textures produce beautiful results on the skin, powder for the eye area is often the better choice. “I choose powder eyeshadow instead of creams, which tend to wrinkle or crack after hours of dancing and wearing,” explains Dalí. For eyeliner, whether you wear it alone or layer it over eye shadow, aim for a thin, clean, winged line. “Start with the eyeliner in the middle of your lash line and gradually get more defined as it extends into the outer corners of your eyes, then swing it up a little,” she says. “This technique will help you open your eyes and create an illusion of buoyancy.” Then you will likely be inclined to a waterproof mascara like Chanel’s Le Volume formula. “Just in case you get tears in your eyes or dance for hours, you want your mascara to stay in place,” says Dalí.

    Bulletproof pout

No matter what type of lip look you’re going for, you want it to make it through the festivities. All experts agree that nothing is more bulletproof than a matte liquid lipstick with a soft, powdery finish. The proven choice of Smalls is the Rouge Dior Forever Liquid from Dior, as it offers optimal coverage and at the same time feels pleasantly “light on the lip”. Before you tease it, she suggests filling your lips with a matching lip liner. Alternatively, Dalí loves to layer lip liner and gloss, which she considers to be an equally flattering and easy-care combination. “Use feather-light strokes to shade the lip liner into your lips, then apply lip gloss just to the bows and the center of the lips,” she says. “Don’t cover your lips completely with the gloss, so that your color wears off faster.” When choosing a color, it ultimately depends on what fits the overall harmony of the look. When in doubt, remember the old eye-or-lip make-up rule. “When choosing the focal point for your makeup look, choose either eyes or lips,” says Dalí. If you have a thick lip, wear a more natural eye, if you have a strong eye, choose a more natural lip color. “

    Fall Wedding

Despite stagnating vaccination rates and the continued spread of COVID-19, wedding bells are expected to continue to ring loud and clear in the coming months as couples who have postponed their wedding move forward with rescheduled (or in some cases rescheduled) plans.

Vishal Joshi, co-founder and CEO of wedding planning startup Joy, told PYMNTS that weddings have increased since spring “and are showing no signs of slowing down.” This fall, there are twice as many weddings as in previous years, with couples increasingly holding their weddings on Fridays, Sundays, and weekdays to find available wedding venues and providers.

“We’re seeing a real appetite for personal ceremonies as couples have missed that bond with friends and family,” Joshi said.

Joy recently raised $ 20 million in new funding to grow its workforce and expand its registration platform. Joy said it had seen 100% growth in U.S. couples, a trend that is likely to continue through 2022. In addition, Joy has seen double-digit growth in demand for its registration every week since launching its registration feature in the spring, and nearly 90% month-on-month growth in the number of guests giving gifts through the platform.

“We’re modernizing wedding planning by developing smarter software that is beautiful and easy to use,” said Joshi. “The confirmation that couples love our approach is in the growth we have seen each year through word of mouth, excluding marketing expenses.”

Wedding spending fell dramatically in 2020, according to industry research firm The Wedding Report, with only about $ 26 billion spent on 1.3 million weddings, compared to over $ 52 billion spent on 2.1 million weddings in 2019 became.

Demand is expected to pick up again this year with 1.9 million weddings and over $ 43 billion, but in 2022 the real boom will be spent with nearly 2.5 million weddings and $ 60 billion. According to The Wedding Report data, which dates back to 2008, that would be the most weddings in a single year – and for only the second time, total wedding spending has exceeded $ 60 billion.

    Hesitation remains

Only about half of Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and as the Delta variant continues to spread across the country – and a new variant known as Mu called an “interesting variant” by the World Health Organization last week became – little can be said with certainty about the coming months. Dozens of etiquette guides have been compiled for brides to learn how to ask guests about vaccination status (e.g. on many couples during an already chaotic planning process.

Amy Nichols, founder of California-based Amy Nichols Special Events, told the New York Times that due to the Delta variant, she has seen an increase in couples reluctant to book for 2022. “They don’t know what to expect, whether we’re in better shape or things are getting worse,” she said.

The Wedding Report also found that 20% of weddings originally planned for this year have been postponed to 2022 and companies have booked around 10% fewer than in 2018 and 2019.

Still, the September 2021 view is very different from March 2020 or even September 2020. More is known about COVID-19 and how to prevent it, and most people have gotten used to it (or as best they can) .). be) to wear masks if necessary, even if this could make wedding photos look unusual.

“Brides and grooms need to remember that there are a million variables that influence individual choices and decisions,” Robert Hess III, public health expert and CEO of Hess III Consulting, told Brides.com. “So, continuing to offer flexibility and planning ahead is critical to ensuring that your big day is as special and meaningful as you always dreamed it would be.”
