Although a wedding venue has been booked for July, that has been the case since moving to the ‘Pickle Cottage’ Permissive women star now has great hopes to say “I do” in the land of her rural home. Under UK law, to be legal, weddings must take place in a licensed building – and it must be part of the building – not outdoors – which means Stacey and Joe cannot legally get married there.

Stacey seemed unaware of the current strict rules and tentatively explained her hopes to Cat Deeley in a recent Lorraine episode. The mother of three said, “We had the venue and we didn’t know we were going to move here. We saw the house and thought, ‘Let’s go.’

“Now we’re here, we actually want to get married in the garden. We’re trying to see if we can do that. We don’t know if we can get a license and such. Wedding planning has come to a standstill at the moment.”

Stacey and Joe’s garden would make the most beautiful wedding setting
In an Instagram post in March, the former X-Factor star posted a screenshot of her venue that confirmed her booking. It says: “A reservation has been made for your wedding, which is to take place on: July 2021 at 2:00 p.m.”
Of course, Stacey and Joe can still hold an unofficial ceremony in their private household and choose to be legally married elsewhere. This is actually quite normal for couples getting married on the beach or other outdoor locations.

They first met in Australia in 2010 after the star was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Joe – who won the show in 2008 – presented the spin-off program. Friendship turned into romance in 2016 and the couple got engaged on Christmas Eve last year.
Wherever they tie the knot, we are sure it will be absolutely incredible, and we know very well that Stacey’s boys and their dogs will play a huge role on this special day.
