Louisa Lytton of Eastenders announces sad wedding news

EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton, who played Ruby Allen in BBC Soap, got engaged to boyfriend Ben in 2019 but spoke in the episode of Wednesday Permissive women, she revealed that she has now canceled her wedding.

Of course, the coronavirus pandemic has played a huge role in the drastic change in the couple’s plans, but it’s also because actress Louisa is now expecting her first child.

BBC star Louisa announced her baby news on Mother’s Day and showed off her growing bump in a cute Instagram post. After the Loose Women panel congratulated her, they asked Louisa about her wedding plans.

Louisa said frankly: “We canceled it. I said let’s stop trying and now it could officially go on, but now it’s too late, it all went out the window!”

Lousia Lytton got engaged in the Maldives

The couple got engaged in May 2019 in the Maldivesand had hoped to get married in 2020. They had originally postponed their big day in hopes of tying the knot if restrictions allowed, but now that a newcomer is on the horizon, their focus has changed.

When the actress spoke to the panel about her exciting pregnancy news, she revealed that they found out they were expecting Boxing Day 2020. In an odd twist where life imitates art, Louisa’s character on the square, Ruby, is also pregnant.

There was a lot of uncertainty about weddings during the pandemic, and Louisa admitted on social media that she left her wedding dress in the store last year as she wasn’t sure her wedding was going to take place. At the time, the star admitted to being concerned about the situation. While it’s a great shame that her wedding plans are being put on hold, we’re sure Louisa will feel a lot happier for now when she’s focused on her bundle of joy.
